Some of the best progressive metal you'll ever hear. One of the albums that influenced Chuck Schuldiner to create more progressive metal. Technical riffs, politically conscious lyrics, and overall amazing musicianship.

12. Release (remix)
This album is a surefire classic, full of intricate riffs and progressive-rock/thrash fusion. Unlike the first 2 albums in the sense that it dropped a lot of the thrash elements and kept all of the progressive parts. You can get this album off of Anacrusis' official website, but at 192 kbps rather than the 320 kbps provided here.

11.Eon Fragmentation
Dismal Lapse is another bright young hope in the field of technical death metal, the next in a line that has produced recent standouts like The Faceless and Odious Mortem. For a trio, this is a highly talented group of guys, capable of technical bursts of precision, furious arpeggios, and incorporating a wealth of rhythmic change-ups into each track.

6. Desolate Spheres
7. Infinite Rotation
8. Noosphere
9. Cosmogenesis
10. Centric Flow
The musicianship in this album is just fucking great. Not your standard technical death metal album. There is a lot of groove to it, and you can actually headbang at a steady rate with most of the riffs, but still contains an element of technicality, without taking anything away from the music.
Sumatra - Heliocratic Infinity (2009) 10:05 AM

I uploaded this album because browsing you tube I saw a mother fucking awesome improvisation that the guitarists of this band made. Even though this is Deathcore its got some progressive elements that are present at almost all songs, found similarities with Born as Osiris.

At first I tought only shit of this album since I don´t listen to -Core, But I´m very contempt of adquiring this album, since this band has done a great impovement from their mediocre Deathcore to some solid Death Metal with very little -Core influence. Well said in less words this album does not suck.

10. Scorched
Spawn of Possession has picked up steam in the metal underground in recent years due to the word-of-mouth success of their debut album Cabinet. Well, 3 years after the fact, the band releases their sophomore effort to many waiting fans. I wanted this album to be just a little bit better than Cabinet, but I got something more.
The band experiments a little more on this album. They turned up the technicality up a notch, more technical than Cabinet was, but they don't overdo it, like Necrophagist or some other tech death bands. The band also shows their affinity for adding random things into the songs. Lash By Lash has a little clean guitar break, and Scorched, the final track, has a minute long intro in which there's nothing but clean guitar work and nice, melodic solos which weave in and out in a pretty strange polyrhythm. Each of the tracks on Noctambulant deliver, they are punishing yet technical, but neither side is overpowering.

Heathen - The Evolution of Chaos (2009) 4:48 PM
1. Intro - Dying Season
2. Control by Chaos
3. No Stone Unturned
4. Arrows of Agony
5. Fade Away
6. A Hero''s Welcome
7. Undone
8. Bloodkult
9. Red Tears of Disgrace
10. Silent Nothingness
The Evolution Of Chaos is absolutely the most stunning representation of technically proficient Thrash since the turn of the new millenium. The variation of song structures, conincided with the overall ability and sheer talent of the musicians within the band rises this album onto a pulpit which overshadows much of whats been released as of recent memory.
